Taking every opportunity to improve knowledge and understanding of not only baking knowledge and skills, but also other areas of the business, including supply chain, commercial understanding and technical.One of my passions is developing both new and existing product of which I have had a number of roles including project managing and developing NPD and Innovation of new products from concept through to launch for Rank Hovis and Holgran, and in my previous role for Village Bakery. Having a good understanding of the technical baking background, through my role as a Technical Sales Manager with Rank Hovis, I have been able to develop my problem solving abilities in a number of different bakeries around the Uk, from small craft bakers through to larger plant bakeries.I also believe in supporting the future of our baking industry, and I am heavily involved in supporting bakery students and trainees through the Communications Secretary role within the Alliance for Bakery Students and Trainees, which focuses on supporting bakery students and trainees in the UK and Ireland. This has been further developed through my current role as Bread Lecturer at University College Birmingham in the role Bread Lecturer teaching Level 1 - 3 Further Education and also Level 4 - 6 Higher Education.
