As an Intern in the program my primary duties varied as the job demanded.Working at the Dairy unit required that I be able to lift and move variousobjects and utilize multitasking skills in order to effectively maintain the unitand its functions, herding cattle and collecting calf as required. Assisting with acannulated cow and its research was a function assigned to my station whilelearning of various diseases, afflictions and complications that comes withhousing dairy cattle. Continued lessons were taught throughout the internship,including feed yield percentages, varying equipment requirements and usage andherd management based on usage. Crop management and equipment usage wasalso instructed including varying crops and seeds utilized in the industry
