• Developer/Tester for the “Fidessa Montage” application, which provides order and execution management for sell-side trading of US Equities and Options.• In addition to converting all logic to run on the more cost-effective Linux from Solaris UNIX, also tested the entire product on both Solaris and Linux to ensure no breakage.• When testing software fixes that were difficult to recreate (e.g. testing of timing issues) in a controlled test environment, assisted QA in white box testing.• Responsible for implementing all US-based compliance and reporting rules required by FINRA, by sending them reports and order/trade information needed to effectively surveil the market. • Developed FIX messaging between Montage and various markets, enabling option/equity order entry, cross orders, executions, etc. These venues included: IEX Trading, ISE, AMEX/ARCA, OTC Markets, BOX, MIAX, et al.

• Developer/Tester for “Fidessa TOP”, an order management system used by finance professionals that keeps track of trades, orders, and stock positions.• Created automated compliance scripts to ensure accuracy of regression test cases.• Managed compliance-related projects. Typical responsibilities included: formulation of design documents as well as delegation of troubleshooting and enhancement requests to developers. • Completely restructured all over-the-counter trade reporting functionality from the antiquated and error-prone CTCI (Computer to Computer Interface) protocol to the more reliable FIX protocol, effectively rendering the CTCI protocol obsolete at Fidessa.• Back office processing – Designed and implemented an MQ-series messaging application written using Java/JMS to facilitate sending post-trade allocations to ADP/Broadridge.

• Lead Developer for “Fidessa CGW”, an application that acts as a gateway for non-FIX protocols between Fidessa and various markets, such as NYSE and Nasdaq.• Main point of contact for all production issues.• Mentored development and QA as to how NYSE software works. • Recommended numerous regex solutions to Fidessa Support in response to various production issues, intended as stopgap measures until the software could ultimately be fixed in the C++ binary.

• Project Manager/Tester/Developer for SuperDOT, the equity order entry and tracking system of the New York Stock Exchange. • Spearheaded the requirement to expand order capacity tenfold. Fashioned test plans, design specifications, and fallback contingencies. Also responsible for coordinating rollout testing, the result of which was the most aggressive software rollout at the NYSE until that point, which occurred without incident.
