Baltimore, Maryland Area

Led a team of over 15, including senior accountants, enterprise financial reporting leads, offshore development resources and system administrators as a trusted advisor to deliver a customized general ledger reporting solution to produce critical financial statements and operational reports consisting of over 50 nVision layouts. Led a team of client and Deloitte resources to validate the General Ledger conversion of two years of detail financial data by designing efficient automated excel models to compare source system reports to PeopleSoft reports and queries, analyzing key data integrity points. This effort resulted in full client sign off of the data conversion ahead of schedule. Designed, documented, built and tested custom business processes, enhancements and interfaces to enable the flow of aggregated financial data to third party systems. Efficiently collaborated with peers to develop training courses and job aids that enabled end users to adapt to new processes and tools.

Houston, Texas Area

Led a team of ten resources including senior client management, third party bank representatives, technical developers and quality assurance testers as a trusted adviser to deliver a custom procurement card reconciliation process for approximately $900 million per year in spend. Designed, documented, built and tested custom business processes and interfaces to enable the reconciliation process, resulting in an on time month end close during the first production cycle and continued use thereafter. Guided the development of multiple custom pages and processes through testing and deployment to deliver business critical solutions. Efficiently collaborated with peers to develop training courses and job aids that enabled end users to adapt to new processes and tools. Gathered requirements and wrote specifications for post go-live enhancements needed to improve business processes and close gaps that will provide further efficiencies resulting in overall cost and time savings. Led a team of four, two offshore and two onshore client resources, parallel to work stream lead responsibilities and functional tasks, to develop and execute quality assurance test cases that led to the on time delivery of enhancements.
