Since my arrival at BDP I have worked on a variety of Commercial projects. Taking ownership of a 65,000 sq ft office refurbishment in Belfast, from feasability through to completion on site. And more recently developing a concept and delivering a £2.5 million, 30,000 sq ft refurbishment in Newcastle city centre, also site managing from a interior design consultancy role.Another where I had a strong influence on interior design has recently won a regional BCO.

My role at ADT involved working an initial conceptual idea, through site surveys, client meetings, to space planning, detailing and construction drawing for tender. This involved conceptual sketching, space planning, branding and bespoke joinery elevations, researching new finishes and products, coordinating presentation documents and boards, and meeting with suppliers and clients on a daily basis.Highlights include a £3.5 million fit-out of Manchester Airport offices spanning 5 floors. My individual design ideas are clearly seen in producing all of the finishes and branding, product selection and joinery. I also worked on smaller projects, where I met clients face to face alongside our sales team, and presented my work as the head designer on that project.ADT grew in recognition exponentially during the three years I was there. Working directly below a very talented Head of Design helped me understand and develop a brief to tailor suit the client.

A placement position working on a variety of projects and learning core skills that I now use everyday in my work. During mytime at MCM I attended client meetings, organised site visits and managed a mock-up project. My day to day tasks involvedproducing visuals, technical drawing packages and presentations for clients.
