As Design Director at DLE, I help lead an amazing team of designers, artists, architects and graphic designers. We create unique environments and spaces connected to brand, place, history and context. Because architecture is such a complexity of systems and disciplines, design requires a certain rigor and purity, and sometimes boldness, for a concept to read through the visual noise. I approach projects with a need to derive concept from the character and history of a place, and to create form from context. Making places and architecture that are unique by way of scale or abstraction, yet often familiar.As a rain-or-shine bicycle commuter, I am a long-time advocate for sustainability and day-to-day stewardship and 'walking the walk' as they say. Professionally, I have over twenty six years of commercial and residential design experience, including two years of environmental graphic design and several years of hands-on building and construction experience. In addition to many years of project management, I also have construction management and Design-build delivery experience.Specialties: LEED AP; Commercial and residential project design, architecture and project management
