I am a Professor of Mathematics at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California, where I have worked full-time since 2002. Currently, I serve as the Associate Dean of General Education (GE) and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the College of the Pacific, which houses the natural sciences, social sciences, and humanities. Since the summer of 2020, I have been overseeing the transition to and startup of a new university-wide GE program which began in fall 2021. I have also served as the Assistant Provost for Diversity (2014-17) and in the three-year leadership cycle for faculty governance (2010-2013). In addition, I recently completed a one-year term as the Interim Director of the First-Year Honors Program, and a three-year term as President of Pacific’s Phi Beta Kappa chapter.
