Testing the new Back Office system called TMS for ICAP (replacement application for a legacy system GuiBos). Also test Front Office and Middle Office applications and products that feed deals into TMS, including but not limited to AXIOM for Rates Deal types, i-Swap for Rates, Datatec for Forwards, FX Deal types, and Equities which we have recently added to TMS.My duties as a QA is to work through the Functional Specifications and design Test Scripts to cover the functional aspects of the new feature(s) added to the system; execution of those scripts and log any defects/bugs into Visual Studio – Team Foundation Server (TFS). Liasing with Project Managers and Business Analysts to ensure we report any/all issues we are having in Testing; escalating and clearing up any questions surrounding the Functional Specifications and/or Business uses of the new functionality.To query the databases I have learnt to use SQL Developer tool, SQL, and Oracle SDM Forms.As part of my Duties I will Demo the new features that are added into each new release, I demonstrate , to the Stakeholders, Brokers, Operations and Support teams as well as the UAT test teams. Ensuring satisfaction by all parties and development work done fits the requirements raised.We currently work in Agile methodology in the teams and use Scrum to run through our 2 week sprints.As part of my testing I do STP and will follow the Deal lifecycle to completion via MarkitWire Affirmation service or Reuters Affirmation service which we link to. I will when required help with Supporting Releases that go live on a Weekend. This is to ensure we have a smooth release and help Operations and UAT teams that run the testing to ensure the rollout is successful.Acquired knowledge about the Inter Dealer Broking side of the Financial industry and the various asset classes the brokers Deal in. Responsible for testing all the Back Office system called RANsys for ION (formerly Rolfe and Nolan taken over in 2008). I also test other products in the R&N product suite such as Fees Module or Margin Module. RANsys is a Back office Batch processing system which provides a solution for Banks and Brokers who trade across Futures and Options in multiple Exchanges. This is done through the Batch processing that occurs overnight to produce reports for the Banks and Brokers who use the System.I have had to learn about the F&O industry to do this job as well as the Software. I use reflections software to test the product RANsys. I have spent my time learning and testing to a high standard across multiple exchange driven changes on our system such as the integration of our Middle Office product Fees Direct with RANsys as well as Liffe CDS Derivatives and the annual Eurex upgrade.A large part of my duties in being a BTA is to work through the Functional Specification and design the script to test the various new features being introduced or the amended system. This could be from Changes in what the system reports for EMIR reporting, to updated margining methods such as the Liquidity Margining of NODAL.I have also trained my specific QA team in the New Delhi Office in Fees Module testing and the testing required for new updates on integration of RANsys and Fees Module. I also trained them in various areas of the back office system for the 2 weeks. As a team member I have used Confluence for writing up pages updating the teams knowledge base on the new system procedures that have been implemented, such as running the upgrade on a new version on Fees Module. I also maintained a page which kept our records of the different systems versions tested against each other over the course of my time at R&N/ION.The JIRA system is used by the team to raise bugs/defects found in testing. Allowing me to keep track of the issues raised and the resolutions coming in.

I worked in a team of two testing all software packages and applications for the company. The testing involved analysis of the development work done.
