Before becoming founder and owner of Ruby Jean’s Juicery; Kansas City’s #1 Healthy Establishment, I spent 10 years utilizing my unique combination of capabilities and experiences across several industries including insurance & claims adjusting, event management, construction and business operations. I am adept at tapping into a vast array of knowledge to create and execute initiatives that ensure efficiency, effectiveness and enhancement for all stakeholders. I got the opportunity to participate in a juice fast and realized I wanted to share these amazing health benefits with my community. I founded and named Ruby Jean’s Juicery in honor of my late grandmother, who died of complications from kidney disease and type II diabetes. “Health is freedom,” and I believe having knowledge and access to healthier options would have extended her life and it is from this that I gained a unique passion to help others extend theirs. Ruby Jean’s offers: Cold-Pressed Juices, Smoothies, Vegan/Gluten-Free Entrees and Grab-and-Go Salad & Snack options and is strategically located in areas with limited nutrition-rich food choices to encourage communities to “Drink In Color.” My unique combination of skills and experiences; coupled with my passion, has allowed me to fuel my purpose with expansion of Ruby Jean’s in multiple locations; including a partnership with Whole Foods and has also led to the local community’s greater awareness of the need for a healthier lifestyle. It has afforded me the privilege to become more involved in creating spaces and opportunities that encourage people to make changes to their health and their lives. And as a newly appointed member to Kansas City Missouri’s Parks & Recreation Board, I plan to continue to increase access and expand awareness of healthier lifestyles for the community at large.
