The rollout of which will span 4 years The programme is decommissioning 14 legacy platforms, rationalising 57 legacy products and retiring 81 associated IT Applications. The move from legacy to new strategic products will improve customer experience, decrease network risk and protect brand reputation. This programme covered a broad range from the introduction of a new Femto Boostbox Self-serve portal, trials of alternative transmission and small cells with integrated Wifi APs covering all kinds of data offload solutions. This allowed faster automated provisioning, an Ofcom approved registration, the capacity to deliver significant numbers, a single data base for improved reporting and a vastly improved customer experience.All of the above require some integration in O2 IT systems.
