Responsible for the IT Department and associated infrastructure at LAE

I work closely with the Deputy Director of IT and the IT Manager of Westminster Under School. Specific tasks of my role include:Monitor & maintaining the Cisco switching & wireless infrastructure and deploying new equipment when required.Monitoring & maintaining physical(Dell PowerEdge)/virtual(VMware) server infrastructure Monitoring & maintaining the schools public connectivity infrastructure, including DNS, filtering and firewalls.Monitoring & mainaince of the schools public cloud infrastructure including Office 365.Configuration & maintenance of Active Directory including account creation/modification and group policy.The deployment of applications and operating system images via SCCM.I also provide first and second line support for all problems relating to networking or telephones. Also within my remit is carrying out projects and tasks ad required by the Director of IT and deputy.

I provide IT support to all pupils & staff within a busy Windows 7 & 10 and Office 2016 environment with a mixture of Windows Server 2008 R2 & 2012. I also manage our two classrooms of iMacs and provide all day to day support. Currently both suites run OS X El Capitan, with a plan to upgrade to Mac OS Sierra.As I work within a small team my role involves logging requests and seeing most requests all the way through to completion.
