Active member several Cyber Security Working Groups since 2009 including, NIST SGIP Architectural, NIST Crypto & Key Management working group, NIST design principals working group, OpenSG embedded security Task Force and NESCOR working groups.Client engagements include:- PKI assessment for Enterprise and AMI networks, analysis of needs for business controls related to Smart Metering and SCADA networks. - Implemented Agiliance GRC tool to support NEI and NERC digital component controls compliance. Currently hold an NRC clearance for work on nuclear Critical infrastructure.- Network vulnerability assessment, project covered assessing vulnerability of wireless user networks, internal enterprise networks, and External corporate systems. - Analysis of security infrastructure for merger of two companies, performed a gap analysis of operations, architecture, business policies, and controls. Cryptographic products implementation specialist provided hundreds of customers with security system architecture and design recommendations. Led the crypto product group’s global business development effort for metering and Smart Grid. Acting Project Manager and Architect for internal project to implement secure boot loading on Atmel SAM7 & SAM9 microprocessors. I had the opportunity to outline and presented meter security including secure boot verification and key management strategies to metering customers Landis & Gyr, Itron, GE Energy, and Elster. Outside the company I acted as an active member NIST Cyber Security Working Group, collaborated on NISTIR 7628 v1.0, Contributing content to the NIST Crypto and Key Management & Design principals working groups. On the product development front I was the applications lead for two successful security product used for authentication and Key Management in Smart Grid systems. For the product launches I outlined market introduction strategies; including creation of product application notes and industry white papers.
