I am currently a Data Engineer at SAS where I primarily work on understanding the data of a business area, to then transform the data to be analytics ready, and ultimately create an automated email highlighting the results from the data. Data can be tricky at times (or often), but there is value in understanding it for future projects! I often help out with increasing efficiency and implementing upgrades focusing in the Finance field. Many of the projects I have been able to work on focus on cutting processing time down from 4+ hours down to 15 minutes using a multiprocessing design.Prior to this position while interning at SAS, I have been able to do ETL work, assist with statistical analyses, and make data visualizations. I have been involved in the following projects: GatherIQ, World Wildlife Fund, TitleIX, and Home Mortgage Disclosure act data. I have been able to utilize the time I have had here at SAS to further my knowledge of SAS software, SQL, Visual Analytics, and Business Analytics. Outside of work I enjoy playing soccer bringing out the inner competitor in me! While some of my earliest memories were playing on the soccer field, I try to live a healthy lifestyle going for walks around the lake and working out!
