Chris is the CEO of Consumer Directed Choices, a rapidly growing fiscal intermediary operating in New York State. Fiscal intermediaries help seniors and individuals with disabilities choose their in-home caregiver. Under Chris’s leadership, CDChoices is leading the industry in offering its consumers the power of choice. CDChoices gives its consumers complete control over the recruiting, hiring, training and supervision of their in-home care. One of Chris’s marquee accomplishments was launching CDChoices’ Workforce Recruitment Portal. The portal makes it easy to find an in-home caregiver that is local and able to perform the tasks that CDChoices’ consumers need. The portal provides the ability to sort potential caregivers based on a variety of topics and directly message them before a potential interview. Since becoming CEO in November 2020, Chris has expanded CDChoices from a regional operator to an organization with the infrastructure to serve every county in New York State. Further, CDChoices has grown its consumer base by over 75%, secured additional federal funding for the industry, and connected thousands of New Yorkers with affordable, high-quality in-home care. Prior to being named CEO, Chris served as CDChoices’ CFO. In his role as CFO, Chris spearheaded the creation and implementation of a custom billing system that successfully streamlined billing operations and built efficiencies to achieve greater economies of scale for CDChoices. As an executive in the home care industry, Chris uses his leadership experience, finance background, and innovative ideas to improve the lives of Consumer Directed Choices’ consumers. Chris’s commitment to the home care industry is personal. Chris once required in-home care himself and understands why seniors and individuals with disabilities need autonomy over their own care choices.
