Managing 16 catering units in the education sector

I took a Short term contract opportunity to get out of my comfort zone and loved every minute of the role.Reporting directly to the CEO I lead a group of independent hotels with a clear Vision and Direction.• Oversee our senior team of Marketing Manager, Area Building Manger, Finance Manager and Sales Manger to create strategy and implementation to ensure our hotels are safe, profitable and guest focused.• Support the Unit Managers to deliver businesses in line with targets• Turnover £9M• Overall responsibility for a team of 200+ employees• recruit key positions in senior leadership team and work with unit managers to fill HOD roles.• Liaise with ABM to Plan and implement urgent site maintenance and renovation projects• Support Site GM’s to address the varying decline of the businesses and group overall• Work with Marketing Manager and Sales Manager to create strategy to drive revenue and occupancy • Engage site GM’s and teams to buy into Group vision, set boundaries, expectations.• Work with finance manager to create FY24 Budgets

Managed a portfolio of properties including a late night entertainment Venue, high street cafe and a traditional pub.Made the late night venue the number one LGBT Venue in Essex and gained a significant reputation throughout the UK.Streamlined previously poor business models and increased footfall, trade and profit through giving businesses complete new market placing, refurbishment and promotions.Received award for East Anglia’s Best Bar 2012

Re-energised a fantastic landmark bar, and grew profits through excellent stock management and menu streamlining. Introduced a daytime food menu which served good quality locally sourced produce.Achievements - Building a previously non-existent food trade.

Responsibilities included managing the Hotel, the 120+ cover restaurant, organising functions and running a team of 20+ staff.

Oversaw day to day operation of landscaping company with a mix of corporate clients and private.
