I am a member of a small team of scientists and engineers working on Lucideon's "Low Energy Firing" project: http://www.ceram.com/materials-development/low-energy-kiln-firing-project.Responsibilities include: - Development of the control and measurement systems in line with the developing requirements of the project - Experimental planning, data analysis.

• Formally employed as a knowledge transfer partnership (KTP) associate between Alstom Grid Ltd and the University of Leicester, this project began with the idea of monitoring the electrical properties of HVDC cables.
• Managed a team of 5 Japanese cable jointers and 10 UK site engineers during the installation of a cable system test loop. Responsible for ensuring EHS compliance, coordination of third party contractors, workflow.
• Led and coordinated the design of the laboratory layout and infrastructure including the temperature control and earthing systems. Demonstrated consistent diligence in the oversight of subcontractor design processes.
• Consensus building and relationship management, with sole responsibility for representing the enterprise at project meetings and conferences in Japan, France and San Francisco.
• Provision of internal consultancy on HVDC cables within Alstom Grid.
• Business management training to CMI level 5. Developed a particular interest in quality management.

• EPSRC-funded project between one academic and two industrial stakeholders to develop new material formulations for HV cables, including the extrusion and development testing of mini-cables.
• Ongoing monitoring of the patent and academic literature landscape. Lead author on two peer-reviewed journal papers.
• Led multi-objective materials development work packages and HVDC testing of development cables within tight time and supply chain constraints.
• Provision of technical supervision during mini-cable extrusion.
