•Instruct personnel on the management and maintenance of RN Command Support System•Plan and conduct maintenance / repairs of equipment under my responsibility.•Monitor equipment performance ensuring optimum operating conditions so improving quality of product.

Hms Illustrious

•Oversee system maintenance and repair efforts keeping the senior engineer updated as to system states and availability.•Responsible for the administration and overall effectiveness of several sections on board.•Provide expert diagnostic assistance and advice to section heads.•Mentor section heads with respect to all engineering matters.•Plan and co-ordinate tests and trials of equipment with in my group.•Co-ordinate and de-conflict activities within my group ensuring maximum output and availability at all times.•When required carrying out the role of Group Warrant Officer co-originating activities/refit requirements with civilian authorities at short notice.Additional role Departmental Training Co-ordinator•Ensuring both senior and junior rates in date for all mandated training.•Co-ordinating Department training requirements with whole ship activity to reduce confliction.•Monitoring individual career progress of all personnel within the department and organizing training to fulfil any short falls.•Co-ordinating and carrying out career examinations of personnel.
