About Christopher Gurka
I am well versed in handling tools, repairing heavy equipment, and mechanical repair procedures.Professional Strengths: Comprehensive knowledge of safely repairing and maintaining heavy trucks, equipment, diesel and gas engines using computer diagnostic equipment and hand tools. Here's the semi unprofessional version of the about me section:Over the years I have accepted unique positions within large and small companies where I've learned and honed a broad range of skills that are not solely in the "mechanic" realm. I truly believe, using a culmination of my professional experience and educational background that I can do anything. No matter how complicated it may seem from the untrained eye. I am capable of rebuilding any engine you put in front of me. Capable of networking complex set(s) of digital equipment for measuring, testing and/or communication. I can build wiring harnesses of any size and complexity. I understand Ohms law. I understand Bernoulli's principle of fluid dynamics. Possess a basic knowledge of thermo dynamics. (The zeroth law of TD). I enjoy studying mechanical process, astronomy, flight, rocketry and science. I possess a Technician Ham license. Call sign: KE0NOZ. With my time off I like to travel the US, go to (their) museums, restaurants and various local attractions. I play video games but the genre I like is narrow. I like strategy, management and logistics themes, not so much the GTA type. Right now I'm playing Dyson Sphere Program (DSP). In a nutshell, you use PLC processes to go from raw ore mining to building a Dyson Sphere. It consumes my life. Fun facts. I learned how to solder in college. When the instructor saw my solder work, he thought it was better than the examples he had. He ended up taking pictures of my solder joints and processes and are now used for examples instead. I haven't touched a soldering iron since. I was never "officially" taught how to weld. I received some basic instruction and a few live examples then was set loose with a welder to figure out the rest on my own. After a few months of that I was entrusted to build inspection ramps to safely hold a 56 ton tracked vehicle. After thorough inspection and testing. The ramps worked flawlessly and repeatedly. In closing, I love a challenge. I can and will do anything to accomplish my mission. And if you have plans on building a Dyson Sphere... let's do it. We'll make it happen.
