About Christopher Mckinney

As a retired Command Chief Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force and former local government executive, Chris has led people to excel during numerous challenges to include the COVID-19 Pandemic and in combat operations. His leadership has catapulted his organizations to elevated levels of success and significant feats. Additionally, he has mentored multiple senior leaders who have gone on to excel in a variety of executive roles. Chris’ knack for workplace transformation and passion for people inspired him to take on the new endeavor that is known today as 10X Leadership Consulting (10XLC). We officially launched the company in Mar 2022, but the vision was birthed years before. The values were forged in the small oil town of Luling, Texas and the skillsets were honed over the course of more than 30 years of military service and over 4 years in local government. Out of that evolved a passion and expertise to help cultivate senior leadership in organizations, because EVERYTHING rises and falls on leadership. The rest of the story… After serving over 30 years in the world’s greatest Air Force and being a part of the best leadership development and mentorship program, Chris retired as a Command Chief Master Sergeant. A Chief Master Sergeant is the top 1% of the enlisted force. A Command Chief Master Sergeant is the top 1% of the top 1%. Over Chris’ long military career, he had the opportunity to lead people in accomplishing some significant goals despite major hurdles in very austere conditions around the world. Post retirement, he moved into an executive level position in local government. The position he was hired into is not one typically held by veterans. Further, if a veteran did hold a similar position, it would most likely be a former officer and not an enlisted veteran. Within the first 18 months of Chris’ stewardship, he led the agency through a complete culture overhaul and transformed it into a high-performance team. Over the course of 4 years, his leadership facilitated many major achievements and several that had not been attained in the agency’s 50-year history, but he perceived the whisper of GOD calling him into something new. After much prayer and reflection, he decided to launch 10X Leadership Consulting to help others to go to the next level by sharing leadership insights and wisdom through consulting and advising senior leaders because everything rises and falls on leadership. What we have come to know is if things are going well, it is because of leadership. If things are not going well, it is because of leadership.
