I joined the Royal Navy in February 2003 and served for 12 years 7 months. During my time I served as a Warfare Specialist Above Water Weapons. Travelled the world and got paid for it. what more could you want? I came to the point in my life where I needed a new challenge and that challenge was in the civilian world. I decided telecommunications was are career path for me. I then did the five week residential course with CTTS based in Lincoln. Which gave me the qualifications needed to be successful in this industry.My first job was a Enablememt Engineer working for Openreach through Hays Recruitment. This role lasted roughly 6 months before my time was up. I then went to work with Kelly Communications as an Install engineer on the Openreach Network. I enjoyed this role to a degree but reluctantly left after 3 months as the working practices by Kelly's didn't sit right with me Within a week I was offered my old role back as an Enablememt engineer via Hays and Openreach, which I was delighted with. I was working for just over 2 months when an opportunity came up to work for Virgin Media via Hays recruitment as a Quickstart engineer. After a few months in the role I was trained to work as a service field technician, then a few months later I was offered the role permanently and I've been here ever since. I really enjoy this role and working for Virgin Media and I am excited to see where this job takes me in the future.
