Coordinates technological resources for the entire organization (North America, Brazil, Hungary, and Asia). Creates network infrastructure design and programming.Maintains network security by providing selective access to data stored on the network. Directs the use of telecommunications and remote communication throughout the organization and oversees the allocation of the necessary equipment. Ensures that the technological costs of the organization are contained within a specified budget. Performs short- and long-term contract negotiations regarding the organization’s voice and data systems. Generates and maintains a Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity plan and presents a report annually to the Board of Directors. Directs IT company initiatives. Reports directional shifts to the Board of Directors.Provides technical consultation to all departments within the organization. Monitors inter and intranet usage throughout the organization.Actively participates in the company’s Executive Management Group. Regularly attends meetings and discusses IT’s role in the organization’s goals.Supervises the Information Technology department of up to 10 team members who are responsible for the Information Technology operations in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training and developing team members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining team members; addressing complaints and resolving problems while ensuring effective team member relations.
