Lead strategic sourcing efforts for rail and ground transportation. Primary focuses include spend and performance visibility, market intelligence, negotiation strategies and analytics in support of contract, adhoc and long term rate agreements. Highly familiar with a variety of sourcing platforms including Coupa, Ariba.

As compensation and onboarding business process owner, supports Access Point Management Centers and Retail Compensation groups regarding system navigation and troubleshooting in Ariba, APCS (Access Point Candidate System), CTR (contract terms and rates) and RECS (Retail Compensation System). Identifies problems in finance/accounting systems, develops interim solutions and presents recommendations for long-term resolution (to be reviewed by senior management for Enterprise Release).Performs and develops processes to reconcile data discrepancies regarding Surepost compensation by reconciling UPS data with USPS data. This analysis is responsible for correcting monthly compensation for ~ $100,000 across 8 types of reconciliations.Supports International transportation procurement groups by identifying savings opportunities, gathering potential vendors and executing RFP’s in Trade Extensions (a third party e-sourcing tool).Performs ad-hoc projects as required.

Supports cross-functional sourcing teams and is responsible for providing analytical support for process improvement and transportation-related initiatives. Conducts data collection, analysis/reporting, supplier qualification and measurement efforts for trucking services. Prepares forecasts and analyzes economic trends. Developed pricing template with trade extensions compatibility (an e-sourcing tool). Provide end-user technical support for Trade Extensions platform. Developed data collection platform with userform functionality to ensure data is both validated and normalized in the RFI process. Regularly use VBA and SQL to refine and automate business processes. Develop and maintain relationships with internal Client customers and external suppliers. Merged automated process for RFP preparation and distribution with e-sourcing platform.

Provide oversight and guidance to 13 Theater Movement Control Coordinators and 2 logistics analysts. Also provide operational direction to over 50 Transportation Coordinators across all AECOM-managed RPAT’s in Afghanistan. Responsibilities include: Ensuring quality assurance is conducted for all documents produced by transportation coordinators in theater; Serving as liaison between AECOM and military transportation units (including 401st, 1st TSC, 3rd ESC, SDDC, TMCC, CDDOC and USFOR-A); Ensuring seamless end-to-end integration between property accountability and transportation operations (achieved through data analysis and aggregation in AWRDS, compiling and analyzing JOPES data, and information provided by SDDC); Preparing and analyzing weekly and monthly performance metrics; Conduct research with DD200 and 15-6 investigations; Provide weekly and nightly SITREPs to 401st SPO Mobility; Software development to optimize speed and accuracy with respect to quality assurance; and maintaining clear and consistent communication between various levels of leadership (military and civilian).

Provide movement control support for air, surface, ULN and channel movement of cargo through the US military transportation system for the APS-5 contract directly reporting to 401st AFSB. Responsible for receiving, validating and processing all transportation documents needed to produce ULN submissions (including Transportation Control Movement Documents, Hazardous Materials declarations, Load-Plans, and both LVL4 and LVL6 data). Regularly communicate with multiple external agencies to coordinate intra-theater movement. These agencies include NAT, ITARS, AMR’s, LMR’s, and JOPES TO CAMPS ULN requirements.

Provide support for movement-control operations, quality assurance, container management/audits, Early In Transit Visibility, expediting truck calls, ensuring effective communication between all parties (including MHE handlers, military, contractors, and local nationals) and compiling results for daily/weekly performance metrics.

Worked from July 2010 – August 2011 with SDDC ops in Jalalabad Afghanistan. These areas included Nuristan, Panshir, Konar, Nangarhar and Laghman provinces.Responsibilities included data analysis, container accountability, redeployment support and in-transit visibility training to over 45 coworkers and civilians.Personally supervised, managed and accounted for the movement of over 7400 pieces of equipment from the Jalalabad AOR by working in conjunction with unit representatives, Afghan local nationals, contractors and foreign military representatives.Improved analysis of container demurrage charges by optimizing database functionality.

Assisted with strategic development, high level operations management and freight administration for a centralized transportation group that managed the company’s freight spend. This group directed the activities across 85 production facilities and over 350 transportation vendors. Internship responsibilities included data analysis, collection, normalization, and software development in an effort to reorganize lane allocation between customers, brokers and production facilities. Other projects included software development and data analysis in an effort to develop a more optimal nationwide distribution center configuration.
