Key lead in coordinating AGRICEN projects with Agro Industries in regards to SMEs initiatives, Off-grid clean/Renewable Energy Investments and other energy options by targeting the local employees of Agro Industries. Conducting energy feasibility studies at flower farms in Kenya has been one of the challenging roles that he took. Training new interns on the use of solar lighting technologies ranging from PICO solar to mega solar PV plants is another role that he is heading. Agro-industries and clean energy in Africa (AGRICEN) is a five-year research programme exploring how agro-industries in sub-Saharan Africa could contribute to improving rural energy access. Supported the project monitoring and end of project evaluation assessment for IFMSLP project, furthermore, he trained farmers on energy options that would help to mitigate climate change and reduce deforestation and these include using energy cook stoves and producing briquettes from waste materials locally available within their communities. IFMSLP was a national-level sector programme towards up scaling decentralised forestry governance from a few selected district (Karonga Mzimba, Dowa, Mchinji Dedza Machinga and Chikwawa to a national action through building capacity of district-level service delivery, and promoting multi-stakeholder involvement in the management of forest areas.Key Achievements• Facilitated the distribution of Pine, drought tolerant crops and fruits seedlings to farmers affected by the impacts of climate change such as floods and droughts • Supported the project monitoring and end of project evaluation assessment for IFMSLP project. • Trained local farmers on various energy options which included using energy cook stoves and producing briquettes from waste materials locally available within their communities. • Supervised data collection, data quality and supported analysis, evaluation and dissemination project reports. • Collaborated with program and senior teams to develop critical qualitative and quantitative data collection methodologies.

Karonga

Managed the overall project database for the whole project by consolidating data and conducting data entry during surveys. Involved in training project beneficiaries on energy options distributed by the project which includes solar latent lamps, Cook stoves and briquettes through the established project cooperatives.Key Achievements• Managed the overall project MIS Database• Entered all data for the project interventions amounting to 20000 entries.• Trained farmers on how to become resilient to climate change impacts through the use solar PV products and other agriculture practices
