Repair Engineer
Current• Created repair work instructions based on the certified Engine Manuals from Pratt & Whitney and GE Aviation. Repairs included but were not limited to welding, blending, plasma spray, machining, RTV (Room Temperature Vulcanizing) molding, metal etching, grinding, shot peening, vane and shroud replacement, and brazing.• In charge of the daily CMM operations, taking dimensional inspections for incoming, in-process, and final inspection engine parts, providing specifications and tolerances for Inspection department. Famliar with all GD&T symbols and terminology associated with part drawings.• Reviewed work being performed on the shop floor and worked with machinists and other operators to find potential for and implement improvements in repair routing and other operational details.• Audited special processes on an annual basis and put together Corrective Action Reports based on those audit findings to remove any non-conformities in CCT’s processes.• Designed and wrote fabrication instructions for molding and machining fixtures to be used on the shop floor.
