Facilitates day-to-day management of support functions as a team lead for the mainframe environment consisting of multiple outsourced companies that deal with multiple clients. Is key point of contact for four operators to upper management during incident management, for all aspects of batch processing and monitoring for ZOS/ ZVM, VSE, and AS400 clients, backup functions, periodic contingency testing, implementing upgrades, and documenting/completing all weekly Change Controls.• Provides first level support for all break fixes in minimizing outages through an effective monitoring of systems; quick and efficient responses to all alerts and outages; implementation of emergency procedures that resolved complex technical issues and breakdowns ensuring Service Level Agreements were met.• Support Activities in a 24x7 Data Center utilizing ITIL Framework • Collaborates with various support groups during system upgrades, weekly maintenance, documenting new maintenance procedures and in the elimination of potential hazards.• Performs all standard technical procedures including IPLs, power on resets, SA Dumps, LPAR weight changes, and CIU upgrades; enhances system performance through a high level of proficiency with Linux HMC.• Keeps a timeline of major incidents and system outages; notifies account managers of any SLA or OLA breaches.• Performs all maintenance for overseas client service support. (Windows and System Administrators)• Runs multiple scheduling packages: Zeke, CA7, CA Scheduler, Control M, Jobtrac and ESP. Utilizes automation tools available to staff for problem determination: SCHEME, Sysview, Omegaview, Tso, Outlook, teams , and SharePoint.
