I’m originally from Prescott, AZ, and joined the Navy in January 2013 with a strong desire to gain new experiences and develop my leadership skills. Over the past 11+ years, I’ve had the privilege of working with and leading diverse teams of sailors, honing my abilities in supervision, team coordination, and technical expertise across multiple roles and assignments. After completing Boot Camp and A-School, I reported to my first submarine, the USS Kentucky (SSBN-737) out of Bangor, WA, in 2014. As Work Center Supervisor and Quality Assurance Inspector, I was responsible for tracking and overseeing all preventative and corrective maintenance, ensuring procedural compliance, and maintaining first-time quality with zero defects across multiple systems in the Sonar Division. I also qualified as a Sonar Supervisor early in my career, leading a team of four operators responsible for the ship's safety in high-stakes, fast-paced environments.I spent three years in Okinawa, Japan, on shore duty as a Supervisory Analyst, where I quickly became part of the training department. In this role, I developed and implemented a new watch station qualification process and a comprehensive curriculum to train the first class of analysts, helping to meet growing demand for supervisory personnel. During this time, I was honored to be named Junior Sailor of the Year (2020) and Sailor of the Quarter (2021 Q1).Following my time in Okinawa, I returned to Bangor, WA, onboard the USS Maine (SSBN-741) as Maintenance Coordinator, where I helped manage and deconflict maintenance schedules across multiple divisions. Later, I transferred to the USS Louisiana (SSBN-743) to fulfill a need for senior sonarmen. As Leading Petty Officer for a division of 15 sailors, I coordinated watch bills across two crews of over 100 personnel during refits and availabilities and supported Quality Assurance maintenance across other divisions.Throughout my Navy career, I’ve developed expertise in leadership, teamwork, mentoring, planning, and communication, all while thriving in dynamic, high-pressure environments. I’ve also gained deep knowledge in electrical theory, troubleshooting, and quality assurance processes—all essential skills that have shaped me into a versatile and results-driven leader.
