As the overseer of data within our company, I am responsible for the collection, storage, and analysis of all important information. This includes overseeing our data management, business intelligence, reporting, and portfolio risk management teams. Additionally, I play a crucial role in driving our organization's digital and technology strategies.I excel at identifying and capitalizing on opportunities that arise from data-driven insights. Some key aspects of my role include leading our efforts to centralize, clean, and enrich our data, as well as developing initiatives to prevent data problems.I also take charge of developing analytical models and tools for liquidity and profitability analysis, such as projections for capital ratios, liquidity requirements, loan portfolio cash flows, construction cash flows, portfolio optimization, ERM development, production impact analysis, portfolio and interest rate analysis, and peer analysis.Furthermore, I manage and develop a team of skilled data analysts who utilize AI and Python to conduct complex data analysis.Last but not least, I am a key stakeholder in the development and evolution of our CRM, ERM, and balance sheet management systems.Overall, my role is essential in ensuring that our company effectively utilizes data to make informed decisions and drive success.

As the leader in charge, I had the responsibility for overseeing the governance, management, integrity, and delivery of Northern Bank's data assets. My main focus was on creating a top-notch Enterprise Data Management framework, which included key pillars such as Data Classification, Data Architecture, Data Cleansing, Data Governance, Data Reporting, Data Analytics, and Data Retention.In addition, I was responsible for developing and delivering regular reports for various stakeholders including business lines, senior management, and the board of directors. I also played a crucial role in formulating the bank's strategy for centralizing, cleaning, and enhancing data within an on-premise data warehouse.Managing Business Intelligence was another important aspect of my role, which encompassed tasks such as dynamic reporting, drill-through reporting, Power BI visualizations, file extracts, Salesforce, APIs, SNL Banker, and PowerQuery.I also played a pivotal role in the oversight of loan review and credit risk controls, as well as contributing to the definition of the Bank's Risk Appetite Statements.Furthermore, I successfully led the operational execution of various stimulus package initiatives, including temporary payment relief (FIL), PPP originations, 4013 modifications, Main Street Loans, and PPP forgiveness.Overall, my contributions were instrumental in ensuring the efficient and effective management of Northern Bank's data assets and supporting crucial decision-making processes. In my role, I was responsible for managing portfolios which involved various tasks such as reviewing loans, renewing lines of credit, extending maturity dates, making modifications, selling loans, monitoring watch lists, overseeing construction projects, dealing with loan exceptions, handling out-of-market clients, selling SBA guarantees, and reporting.Additionally, I was responsible for reporting on commercial loans and credit risks. This included analyzing portfolio breakdowns, segmenting data, identifying trends, assessing concentrations, comparing with peers, evaluating commercial real estate (CRE) and high-volatility commercial real estate (HVCRE), examining large borrowers and households.Moreover, my role involved carrying out analysis tasks like performing top-down and bottom-up stress testing, determining the allowance for loan loss, conducting impairment analyses, executing loan sales and participations, analyzing portfolio cash flows, and assessing construction cash flows.

I developed a loan portfolio reporting system that accurately tracks risk, segmentations, concentrations, growth, and trends. Additionally, I facilitated in-depth risk analysis, including rating migration, stress testing of the loan portfolio, and allocation of ALLL and reserves. I also implemented financial modeling to benchmark performance, assess internal ratings, and evaluate tenant performance.As a system administrator and power user, I had extensive experience with various platforms and tools, including D+H for workflow management, Portfolio Manager, SNL Financial, Oracle/SAP Business Objects, CoStar Analytics, and Smith Travel Reports.In addition, I was responsible for tracking and administering annual credit reviews, conducting covenant testing, and managing a financial document tracking system.To stay updated on industry and economic trends, I authored white papers to ensure awareness and knowledge within the organization.

In my previous role as a Credit Underwriter, I conducted thorough evaluations to assess the creditworthiness of applicants seeking financing for various types of investments, including construction, commercial real estate, commercial and industrial, asset-based lending, and residential properties.To support the decision-making process, I prepared comprehensive approval memorandums, as well as annual reviews and line renewals for the portfolio of relationships.I also played a key role in implementing a new credit and loan management software solution, customizing it to meet the specific needs of our organization.Additionally, I developed reporting tools, including maturity reports, rating migration analysis, and management dashboards, which provided valuable insights to facilitate group decision-making.Finally, I took on the responsibility of training analysts in the interpretation and analysis of financial statements and tax returns, ensuring that our team had the necessary skills to effectively evaluate applicants.Overall, I am proud of my accomplishments in improving the underwriting process and contributing to the success of the organization.

I am currently an adjunct instructor at Bunker Hill Community College, teaching Accounting and Business Management classes. My approach to teaching involves a combination of lectures, presentations, real work experiences, and collaboration with my students. I use a variety of instructional methods to keep my students engaged and to help them maximize their learning potential. I also work one-on-one with students to enhance their understanding of the subject matter. Through exercises, readings, and discussions, I aim to help my students develop their skills and talents.
