The primary purpose for this role is carrier selection across multiple business units through the Transportation Management System for outbound and inbound based on cost and service. Determine equipment and service level requirements for multiple plant locations across business units and manage carrier selection and performance to meet cost and service expectations. Maintain continuous contact and provide assistance to customer service groups, sales and marketing personnel, plants purchasing and plant shipping personnel. Secure and coordinate uninterrupted transportation services and materials flow to and from North America markets.
