I currently run the technical investigation lab at Cleveland-Cliffs Riverdale (formerly ArcelorMittal Riverdale) providing evidence based feedback to feed forward into continuous improvement based on both internal processing issues and customer feedback.

I have worn multiple hats in my daily duties and roles. The first part of my job 80"​ HSM Indiana Harbor East (Old Inland) as a Quality Engineer is daily I look into quality holds and make disposition to correct any out of spec factors (temperatures, dimensional troubleshooting, field validation, camber and shape, and surface quality (from scale, rolled in particulate, to mechanical damage). Also I am the 80" HSM Quality System Administrator. In that role I coordinate the 80” internal audit schedule, improve MOC (management of change) documentation and implementation, support keeping various documents up to date and within conformance (PFMEA’s, Control Plans, Process Definitions, etc), train incoming managers and engineers on the quality management system and requirements, and in general work to promote a quality focused culture and maintained quality certification. Favorite part of this job is meeting the people, learning something new every day, and daily being challenged to grow. Apart from the duties at the 80"HSM I also run the rust and stain lab analysis and write reports by combining both failure analysis and corrosion analysis techniques to support the customer sale representatives in their duties. I also have written and given metallurgical lectures for training purposes, have performed multiple root cause analysis (ranging from a basic cobble investigation to complex issues ranging across multiple departments), and value added projects which range from internal product characterization to production support.

My responsibilities include running test, handling various chemicals, and occasionally putting my opinion in when asked on a project.
