Regional Network Operations Manager, Systems Engineer
Current• Senior operations and maintenance manager for the Air Force Central Command (AFCENT) network. Providing 24/7 network operations and network support for 10 countries in the Middle East. Providing premium customer support for AFCENT and Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Internet Service Provider (ISP) networks. • Develop and execute section relevant policies, procedures, and other documentation in order to meet the facility’s 24 hour of operations and be in 100% compliance with DISA standards.• Provide 24/7 technical support for AFCENT clients in diverse aspects of network architecture, operations, network hardware, software support, testing, and problem resolution.• Monitor systems using SolarWinds to coordinate system control activities for over 400 data, video, and IP voice circuits for AFCENT networks by ensuring premium quality of service for mission essential data for military NIPRNET, SIPRNET, VTC, JWICS, DSN, and unmanned aerial platform data communications systems. • Troubleshoot various telecommunication systems from wiring level to hardware and software configurations, provide testing, and resolve outages in the minimum amount of time ensuring that all systems meet or exceed DISA standards.• Manage and service WAN telecommunications systems consisting of Cisco routers, switches, optical multiplexing, Cesium and GPS timing systems, KG 175D, 1G and X TACLANEs, and SafeNet encryptors.• Coordinate with customers for Authorized Service Interruptions on mission critical systems upgrades and troubleshooting of long haul strategic circuits.• Develop and maintain circuit history folders, master station logs, trouble ticket database, and DISA Publications.• Knowledgeable in SATCOM network systems, proficient in OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, TCP/IP protocols and transmission media.• Manage employees, interview and hire new employees for positions for the GDIT government contract.
