Distinguished Site Reliability Engineer - Systems Engineering
CurrentCurrently a senior technical lead for Google's Site Reliability Engineering organization. I work across numerous SRE teams and SRE Leads to develop senior talent, set strategy, vision, and technical direction for SRE. My focus has been on solving more difficult engineering problems while growing and leveraging my network of engineers to produce high quality results.Before taking on my role across SRE, I had the same role across Google Cloud SRE. And before that I founded and built the Spanner SRE team from scratch over many years, avoiding past mistakes and making new ones, all to provide both Google and our cloud customers a reliable, highly available, planet scale database system.The remainder of my background at Google in SRE has been focused on distributed storage systems and NoSQL such as Bigtable. Productionizing, debugging, and operating large scale distributed systems at scale is a passion I can't shake.
