Defined and analysed research problems for projects within the Maritime Division of DST. Used a mix of open source modelling software (Modelica) and python to assist in the creation of physics based models of Navy platforms. These models were used to simulate real world scenarios to assess complex research problems and platform requirements. I worked closely with real world Navy data to verify and validate these models, and produced a number of technical reports that went directly towards improving the design and operation of Navy platforms.
