Lead Structural Engineer - Responsible for supervising and directing the structural design of various power generation, transmission & distribution, and industrial projects including steel structures and foundations, project staffing, maintaining the project deliverable schedule, tracking structural deliverables, reviewing all calculations, sealing documents, and responding to contractor, client, Building Official, and owner/client questions. Excellent communication skills. Able to coordinate and direct large project teams including those located in different locations. Structural concrete design experience ranges from spread footings, large highly loaded equipment foundations, water containment structures, cooling water intake structures, large cooling tower basins and discharge structures requiring finite element analysis. (Utilizing the following Concrete Codes: ACI 318, ACI 350, ACI 360, ACI 207, and ACI 351)Steel design experience includes large utility/pipe bridge structures, duct support steel, modifications to existing steel structures (boiler house support steel, boiler windbox strengthening, ductwork, and Electrostatic precipitators), connection design, and pipe supports. Capable of performing designs using AISC ASD or LRFD steel design codes. Experienced in high wind and high seismic design conditions. Experienced with International Building Code and California Building Codes.Experienced in Eurocode steel and concrete design.Air and Gas Duct Repair and Replacement. Responsible for condition assessment of existing air and gas ductwork, evaluating the capacity of ductwork, locating problem areas, and repairing the deficiencies.Software Capabilities:Analysis Software: STAAD, RAM Connection, FDN 3D, Mat 3D, spColumn, spMat, Enercalc, Mathcad3D review software: SmartPlant Review and NavisworksCAD software: MicroStation and AutoCAD3D structural software: PDS/FrameWorks
