This position is responsible for oversight of the annual budget process, testing internal controls throughout all Zoo operations and performing financial analysis using data from Tessitura and SAGE financial systems.Specific Duties and Responsibilities include: - Analyze financial data and present financial reports. - Produce annual operating budget for the CFO's presentation to the Board of Directors and distribute departmental budgets to EVP's and department heads. - Update multi-year business plan in conjunction with the budget. - Perform and produce trend analysis relative to attendance, revenue, education programs and other areas as necessary. - Use Business Intelligence software to create key financial reports reflecting the financial position of the organization. - Perform ROI analysis for various projects as needed. - Create and manage the internal audit function within the organization and conduct audits of two to four areas or programs per fiscal year - Oversee any and all financial system software upgrades and/or migrations to new systems as needed. - Ad hoc financial analysis as needed.

Duties:• Manage the day to day operations of one of the premier zoos in the country.• Manage entire accounting operations including, accounts payable, accounts receivables, general ledger and financial statement preparations and reporting.• Manage the security of cash on hand and all related banking operations• Responsible for the documenting and safeguarding of the Zoo's fixed asset inventory• Responsible for booking the company's payroll to the general ledger.• Manage a staff of 5 full time associates and one part-time associate.• Responsible for the construction of and creation of the company's annual budget for presentation and approval of the board of directors.• Responsible for the coordination of the annual audit conducted by our independent auditors.

Duties:• Responsible for the day to day operations of a 6 lawyer two office commercial litigation firm including engaging vendors and businesses to make operations flow smoothly.• Process semi-monthly payroll for 10 employees and make federal tax deposits along with completing and filing quarterly federal 941 and 940 reports and complete quarterly state unemployment reports for filing with the State of Texas.• Process $100,000 per month in client billings for five lawyers.• Perform month end and year end functions and produce cash basis financial statements for the firm.• Perform financial analysis and provide reports to the managing partner.• Analyze cash flow and reconcile both operating and trust accounts to gain true assessment of the flow of cash through the firm.• Responsible for managing the outsourced information technology resources to ensure that computer and telephone systems are operating smoothly.• Coordinate the build out of our office space at a cost of $75,000.

Duties• Charged with managing the day-to-day financial operations of the Dallas office of this international law firm.• Provide financial support to 147 lawyers and their support staff, by ensuring that time and expenses are accurately billed to our clients on a monthly basis.• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports reflecting the performance of the Dallas office.• Prepare, analyze and make adjustments to a $98 Million annual budget for the office. • Analyze the Income Statement and make adjustments as necessary via journal entry.• Review and post monthly journal entries including correcting entries and complete month-end close process.• Monitor and analyze accounts receivable preparing aging reports and following up with clients regarding collections.• Manage an accounts payable department that expenses over $5 million annually. • Assist in the negotiations of vendor contracts for office related services and various lease agreements by performing financial impact studies and evaluations of requests for proposals.
