CurrentServes as a Safety and Occupational Health Specialist for Blanchfield Army Community Hospital (BACH) and outlying MEDDAC facilities. Responsible for assisting in the planning, organizing, establishing, implementing, administering, and evaluating the safety and occupational health program covering all medical, dental, veterinarian and support facilities (e. g. pharmacy, public health services, clinic laboratories, facility power plants, etc.), within the BACH footprint.Assures compliance with various national safety standards including The Joint Commission (TJC), Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), American National Standards Institute (ANSI), Department of Defense (DOD), and the Defense Health Agency (DHA).Conducts safety and occupational health inspections of all medical, dental, and support facilities to identify, analyze, and recommend control measures for hazardous conditions. Prepares reports of findings and follows up with appropriate staff to ensure that hazardous situations have been corrected.Trains staff in safety and occupational health requirements and safe work practices sufficient to ensure a safe work environment.
