As part of a bigger team I worked on the core algo engine and other components to be shared across other teams. I've gotten experience with SolarFlare (kernel bypass) cards, low level capture and pcap processing.

Built a greenfield market making application from the ground up for constant delta ETFs on Xetra and 50000 options on Eurex implementing the exchange's EBS(FAST)+ETS protocols with a response time <30μs. Made use of boost, RFA, meta-programming, concurrency, thread local storage, atomic ops, gprof. Fixed the ETF trading strategy using a Deutsche Börse.

Worked on an algorithmic trading platform called Tango. Developed a flexible high performance feed protocol for it. Used this protocol to pump theoretical option prices and Rapidata into Tango. Implemented routing of FIX algo orders to Tango. Custom profiling and optimization. (C++, Linux+Solaris, SCRUM)

Wrote ticker components which process native exchange feeds in text, XML and binary formats communicating over FTP, HTTP, and straight multicast or TCP/IP (Examples: OMX, Targin, ICE, NYSE OpenBook, Toronto, 4 Indian exchanges, etc). Designed/wrote a low level high performance multithreaded chart database(not relational). Managed relational.
