Lands Improvement Holdings, owned by Telereal Trillium, a multi billion pound property company, is one of the leading suppliers of ‘ready to build’ land to house builders and commercial property developers with roots dating back to 1853.As Finance Director I lead the finance function and strategic vision for the business with a gross asset value of c.£140m. I report to the Managing Director and am responsible for a finance team including Financial Controller, Assistant Accountant, Financial Specialist and Commercial Analyst. I oversee the complete finance function including financial / management reporting, project finance, commercial management, tax, structuring and review of statutory accounts. Additionally I compile the business plan and related financial projections in conjunction with the MD.Key Achievements include:*Part of the senior leadership team responsible for growing business from c£50m NAV to £120m, responsible for vendor due diligence process (financial, tax and corporate) for sale process.*Realised “high teen” returns in relation to new capital invested in acquisitions over the hold period*Managed implementation of new management information system to integrate financial reporting with capital budgeting, managing projected capex of c £125m.*Completed extensive review of all corporate governance practices within the group to ensure compliance with BlackRock’s company secretarial processes.*Developed ground breaking Section 106 agreement by devising a mechanism to link contributions to market performance of overall scheme.*Shortlisted on government lending initiatives, enabling circa £35m investment in LI schemes.

MGPA was an independently managed private equity real estate investment advisory company with $11 billion real estate assets in Europe and Asia, acquired by BlackRock in 2014.As Senior Development Finance Manager I was responsible for leading the finance function and reporting strategy for the European development portfolio (circa €400m). I devised a debt financing strategy in conjunction with MGPA’s Head of Debt for a €500m development in Greece and assisted with the delivery of an offshore structure to facilitate the flow of management fees.Reason for leaving: requested to join Lands Improvement Holdings (a company acquired by a MGPA Property Fund) in a commercially focused role that provided an opportunity to implement the Fund’s business plan alongside the Managing Director.

Treasury Holdings was an Irish property development business with a large European property portfolio including interests in China.As the Senior Corporate Finance Manager I was responsible for providing detailed quantitative and qualitative financial analysis to enable strategic Board level decision making. I reported to the Group Financial Director and worked collaboratively with various internal stakeholders.Key Achievements:*Successfully raised acquisition finance and facilities for the acquisition of Battersea Power Station, concluded £200m of senior debt and managed ongoing relationship with Bank.*Supported three capital markets transactions (including a €375m CMBS, Ireland’s first and only at the time).
