My responsibilities in this position include attending weekly Coard Board meetings, serving as a liaison between the Hall Council of San Nicholas Resident Hall and the Resident Housing Association(RHA), assisting the Hall President in her hall events, as well as hosting two hall events for residence per quarter. I attend four hours of weekly meetings for this position and record information relevant to residents of my hall and provide it to them through Hall Council and floor representatives. For this job I also hosted weekly lobby hours, as well as weekly office hours to plan events, perform RHA tasks and socially engage residents in the lobby with the goal of fostering a positive and social environment. This position gave me experience in a diverse workforce, strengthened my teamwork skills and my event planning ability. I unfortunately was forced to leave this position due to the closure of the campus amid Covid.

I worked as a Dishwasher and a Raft Driver, moving locations once due to a shift in need for employees. I was first responsible for the sanitation of dishes and surfaces, as well as testing chemical levels in solution to assure full sanitation, and bussing dishes from tables. Upon becoming a driver, I was given the tasks of helping patrons of the rafting company safely out of rafts to shore, carrying rafts to a 30-foot flatbed truck, loading and securing them onto the truck then to driving the truck back to the launch point and unloading it. In these positions I gained teamwork experience from my coworkers and learned to be versatile as my assigned positions or jobs varied frequently.

I worked as a tennis instructor for children aged 4-12, for 8-20 hours per week. Responsibilities included teaching these students the basic swings and footwork of tennis and making sure they were safe and enjoying themselves. I was responsible for between 5 and 20 individuals at any time. I developed communication skills through explaining physical motions and games to the students, as well as patience and persistence in educating them.

I was responsible for being the sole lifeguard for up to 30 patrons at any given time between 2-12 hours per week. For this position I was CPR and AED certified by the American Red Cross, and guarded mainly children as a part of a program offering parents a summer location to leave their kids for work hours. The training for this position increased my attention to detail and my communication skills.
