As a Process Development Engineer in the Weetabix R&D Department, my primary role is to design, develop and evaluate new processes technologies that are needed to support a programme of process innovation, improvement and capacity expansion projects.The role is varied and fast paced and requires advanced knowledge of the science and technology involved in breakfast cereal manufacture.

The Briggs Group is involved in the Brewing, Distilling, Food, Pharmaceutical, Health & Beauty and Biofuels markets, providing process engineering solutions for the world's leading companies.As a Process Engineer working for Briggs, I was involved in a wide variety of project based design tasks & problem solving activities. The majority of my work was on Malt Distilling expansion projects in the North of Scotland. I was the lead process engineer during plant commissioning and ramp up for two Diageo distillery projects.

Brussels Area, Belgium

Work in the polymer characterization department, focusing on rheology. I analysed and evaluated polyethylenes for project and research purposes. My key output was creating a new lab test methodology for a Sentmanat Extensional Rheometer.
