The Ottawa Valley - Foresters Falls, On

For the past seven years I have provided musical and entertainment services for Canada's largest outdoor adventure centre. In cooperation with key staff, I provide creative direction on matters related to entertainment, guest services, and event production. I consult on event planning and engage with clients at trade shows and at promotional events. Also focus on the needs of tourists from Canada and around the world. Key events put on at the resort include: Red and White Festival, World Kayak Championships, Kitchissippi Music Festival, and Log Jam Country Fest.

I am able to deliver multi-million dollar festivals, special events, sports competitions, wedding celebrations, concerts, awards ceremonies, and tourist focused events. Some Signature Events Include: The Brockville Winter Classic (2015-Present): As a founder of this festival, we placed in the Top 10 nationally for Kraft Hockeyville (2016), and earned more than $100,000 in funding for community projects on a $0.00 budget. This was built on community sponsorship and volunteer support. World Kayak Championships (2015): Worked as a consultant to bring athletes from more than 30 countries around the world to Wilderness Tours. Festival and Events Spokesman/Coordinator (2014-2015): I delivered 3 significant festivals for the City of Brockville and Brockville Tourism in year one of a 3 year mandate. These events include: Brockville ScarecrowStock (2014); The Brockville Winter Classic (2014-Preset), and the All Ships Festival (2015). Recruited more than 700 volunteers through community engagement. Kitchissippi Music Festival and Log Jam Country Music Festival: Provided entertainment consultant services and performed on stage at this multi-million dollar festival at Wilderness Tours. Festival highlights and key performers included The Sheepdogs, The Arkells, Classified, Jason Blaine, and recreational services for more than 3,000 guests. Brockville Relay for Life: Have provided entertainment and media services since 2012. The annual funding generated from this event is more than $100,000 annually.

Served as a sales and marketing representative for a craft brewery in the Ottawa Valley. Developed excellent relationships with clients in a sales territory that spanned from the Quebec border to Toronto, south to Picton, and north to Ottawa and the Ottawa Valley. This job has been paired with my role as an entertainer and the handle "The Valley Shantyman". This salaried position allowed me to travel the province, play music, and provide complimentary samples of beer.

Served as the elected Vice-President of the Graduate students association. Developed a new health care plan with Sun Life and StudentCareNetworks, organized large and small scale student events, worked as partner to manage the bus pass distribution, and launched numerous social events, teams, and activities (soccer team, salsa dance lesson night, open stage music night). Also hosted numerous fine dining food, beer, and wine pairing events.
