Responsible for planning, preparation, and mission command of the Fleet operations in the brigade’s operational environment for over 6000 pieces of equipment including rolling stock, weapons, electronic, construction and aviation equipment. Provides technical supervision of all maintenance operations conducted. Responsible for the deployment, Unit Maintained Equipment program and serves as the principal maintenance planner for the IBCT. Provides detailed analysis of the Combat Readiness and enhances maintenance operations by leveraging external enabler support, maintains situational awareness and ensures to maintain maintenance policies up to date. Advised and provided guidance for units on FJLA and off-site locations in logistics management. Responsible for the accountability, management, and operational readiness of 6500 pieces of Army equipment at a value over 1.2 billion dollars. Carried an operational readiness rate of 98.8 % during my career in the Army. Recommends course of actions and personnel use to the brigade support operations officer, the maintenance control officer, and the company commander. Responsible for the direct and general support of maintenance activities for engineer equipment, power generation assets, water purification systems, fuel pumps, refrigeration units, air conditioning, POL and water transferring units, hydraulic systems repair and fabrication, and fire suppression systems. While operating as the Company Senior Maintenance Specialist, I was assigned as a Contracting Specialist that was responsible for the entire maintenance contract and worked in a joint effort in repairing the Organizations Customer’s maintenance fleet. Briefed senior officials on the status of logistics effort along with the total combat readiness status. Carried a 98.6 operational readiness rate for the fleet during the Customer’s movement.
