The projects and responsibilities are as follows:Developed Mineral Resource model and grade control model for the underground.- QA/QC reporting.- Validations and checks on geological logging and sampling data using acQuire and Vulcan databases.- Geological interpretation and 3D modelling.- Exploratory and Spatial Data Analysis using Supervisor.- Block model intialisation and setup in Vulcan.- Resource estimation (OK and ID2), classification, model validation and checks.- Estimated uniaxial compressive strength into the grade control model by using point load data. - Ability to manipulate lava scripts for use in automation processes for Vulcan.- Documentation, reporting and procedures.Responsibilities.- Preparing mineral resource and reserve statements for both the underground and open cut mines.- Reconciliations (monthly, quarterly, yearly and financial year).- acQuire database management.- Tonnage and grade evaluations for royalty agreements within mining lease.- Geology presentations for group tours (university students, geology tours).

This position was a split role supporting both the underground and open cut mines. The projects and responsibilities are as follows:Generation of grade control system in Vulcan - Open Cut.- Managed the transfer of the grade control system from Datamine to Vulcan.- Worked with Maptek in developing scripts for automation in updating the grade control model with new sample data.- Block model intialisation and setup, setup of composite files, estimation files and grade control database in Vulcan.- Tonnage and grade reporting for Pitram system.- Procedures and training provided to other geologists.Hidden Mine (mining of waste dumps) - Open Cut.- Led and managed the Hidden Mine project which provided the company with an extra 1.1Mt of ore from the waste dump during an ore gap in late 2009.- Net profit value of $4.5M.- Identification of reserves in waste dump through an initial review of historic production data.- Setup of a sampling program, completing resource estimation (ID2) and providing reserves estimates and mining strategies.- Reporting with recommendations and project risks.Open cut responsibilities - Grade Control Geologist.- Safely undertake tasks in pit such as mark ups and blast hole sampling.- Attend and have input and daily production and site wide meetings.- Minimise ore dilution during mining process (mark ups, ore spotting).- ROM management and ROM blending to achieve daily head grades.- Input into weekly and month mill feeds.- 3 monthly geology reporting as part of the midterm plan.- Liaise with planning engineers and mining supervisors about daily mining schedules.- Reconciliations (monthly, quarterly, yearly and financial year).Underground responsibilities - Mine Geologist.- Attend and have input at morning supervisors meetings.- Supervision of drillers.- Drill hole designs and plans.- Face and wall mapping and sampling.- Core logging (geology and geotechnical) and geological interpretation.
