Chris Hyatt has spent 18 years in the outdoor retail industry on both sides of the fence as a manufactures representative and retail entrepreneur. After graduating from Colorado State University he helped a friend with a small manufacturing startup. At the age of 27 he opened his first retail location which he actively managed for 12 years and was recognized as one of the top 40 stores in the nation. During this time Chris was looking to the future, in 1996 he took a gamble and started selling on the world wide web. In 2006 he sold the company to start a new chapter in his life. Since 2006 Chris has been managing and developing business for a number of companies. Chris in 2011 along with others established the Montana Firearms Institute. The institute’s mission is to focus on informing, educating and job training of the firearms industry in Montana. Today Chris is actively involved in his community, along with maintaining his consulting business and property management company.
