I began a position at Airport Community Schools in February of 2023 as a Restorative Practice Coordinator. I was most recently a Behavior Coordinator at Adams Middle School for the Wayne/Westland School District. I began my career with the district as a School Resource Officer at Franklin Middle School.I was formally assistant basketball coach for the Lady Rams at Flat Rock High School. I also coached High School Football at Romulus and Woodhaven High Schools.I worked as an Assistant Campus Safety Director at Concordia University. We strived to provide a safe and secure environment for the students and faculty. I previously worked executive protection and estate security for a high profile family in the Detroit area for nearly 4 years. My responsibilities included protection of the family and their young children, security of the estate, and assisting with any additional needs the family may have required.I retired after 21 years in Law Enforcement with the Romulus Police Department My career at the department included extensive time in investigations as well as a departmental use of force instructor. I was also certified mountain bike officer, field training officer and spent 5 years in community policing. My final 3 years were spent in the traffic bureau where I handled all vehicle related cases including fatal crash investigations.During my career I also spent 16 years on the Downriver SWAT Team. While on the team I was operator on the entry team and an assistant team leader. I was also an instructor in the following areas:1) Weapon systems including handgun, Benelli shotgun, and all rifles2) Entries and all tactical movements3) Flash bang and less lethal munitions 4) CN and CS gas systems I further spent over 25 years as a staff instructor at the Wayne County Regional Police Academy. I taught physical fitness, defensive tactics, and active shooter training. I am currently a Use of Force Instructor at Washtenaw Community College Police Academy. I am certified Firearms and Active Shooter Instructor and have a current CPL License in the State of Michigan. I am also a former certified instructor in Defensive Tactics, Taser, and Less Lethal Instructor with nearly 30 years of Tactical and Teaching expirence. Upon retiring, I worked in security administration at the DTE Fermi Nuclear Plant in Newport MI.
