A tech start-up using machine learning to automatically clean and enrich large volumes of business data quickly and effectively. - Established the back-end architecture, hosted on AWS, based on microservices connected by an API, deployed as containers/lambda functions. - Integrated SSO (OAuth/OIDC) to secure the company’s applications and API. - Developed and deployed machine learning models for data cleaning (Python/TensorFlow): # Models including classification, entity recognition and semantic similarity. # Techniques including transformers, CNNs, word vectors/embeddings and transfer learning. - Published an Excel Add-In (JavaScript/React) to utilize and train the above models directly in Excel, in real time. - Developed a python package (‘Wrangles’) to encapsulate the above capabilities for integration into company and third-party systems.

Promoted to a European Group role to manage the pricing models and systems across the whole European Group while tailoring the strategy to support each individual country’s needs.- Coordinated pricing activities with people across multiple businesses and functions, responsible for 13 dynamic pricing models across 9 countries.- Delivered major model upgrades in Germany, France, Spain and the UK, along with minor updates for the 5 other countries.- Developed group wide analytics, including an internal price index metric and external competitor web scraping capability (Python).

Brammer is a B2B distributor of industrial products. With over 5 million products available, 10,000 customers, and thousands of transactions a day, there is significant complexity to setting and managing the prices.Managed the pricing models and systems to balance maximizing the company’s profits while remaining competitive in the marketplace and ensuring reliable deployment across the business.- Key member of the team for the price optimization project, which led to a substantial long term increase in margin for the UK business.- Managed a team to provide analysis, recommendations and execute any agreed changes to the UK’s pricing systems and strategy.- Organised the regular UK ‘Price Steering Team’ meetings, which included the UK Managing Director and other UK and Group directors, to make decisions on pricing strategy.- Expanded the program to cover new UK acquisitions and supported the roll out across Europe.
