Facilitate pre-bid meetings with the architects and estimating staff to review the current bid documents for all upcoming projects. Evaluate construction logistics and constructability and discuss prospective issues with the design team. Determine, based on the bid documents which classes of subcontractors and vendors will be required to compile the bid. Schedule and attend the subcontractor site visit and document any and all questions and concerns realized at the site. Convey the required changes to the design for revision to the bid documents. Meet with the in house estimating team and assign tasks to assist in building the overall estimate. Generate scopes of work and material take-offs. Communicate with subcontractors to ensure all scopes of work required are captured. Present the project budget to the sales team and managing partners. Address any changes to overhead and profit the sales team and partners suggest in order to sell the job. Draft all construction bid presentation documents, including all required legal language and present proposal along with the sales team to the client. Lead a meeting with the construction management team to review and answer any questions pertaining to the project. Offer options for possible budget savings, difficult scopes of work, etc. Working closely with the project manager and site superintendent throughout the construction to answer any questions.

Work as a midlevel member of the estimating team in an effort to develop a comprehensive and accurate project budget. Attend pre-construction walkthroughs. Analyze the construction drawings and assemble various scopes of work and material take offs. Review bids with subcontractors to confirm they have included the required scopes of work. Build in-house estimates / allowances for scopes of work not backed by a subcontractor bids. Projects were in medical facilities, laboratory facilities, hospitality, student housing, automotive dealerships, historical renovations, residential additions / renovations.

Managed up to 6 projects concurrently. Ensure the schedules and budgets were maintained at all times. Discuss updates and revisions with project manager. Meet daily with subcontractors on site to review and discuss scopes of work and troubleshoot any potential issues. Generate material take offs, facilitate site deliveries and all material handling. Generate meeting agendas and run weekly client meetings. Provide daily progress updates to upper-management and company partners.

Responsible for the physical receiving of all inbound building materials. Ensured all materials were safely offloaded and organized. Cross referenced the order tickets to the delivery tickets to verify we received the correct materials. Input the purchase order number and location into a spreadsheet and distribute as required.
