I joined Advent in 1994 and established the Advent tax function. I became Director of Tax in 1999 and was promoted to Vice President of Taxation in 2006. Since joining Advent I oversaw, grew and developed a high achieving tax function that today consists of 10 tax professionals and is considered best-in-class. As Vice President of Taxation for Advent International Corporation I combine partnership, domestic and international tax expertise with strong commercial acumen to develop and execute on a global tax strategy that optimized performance and minimized tax leakage. I oversee the efficient delivery of core tax services across Advent's worldwide platform, proactively scanning for automation opportunities to meet growing compliance and reporting demands, thereby creating capacity for the tax team to function as strategic advisors. I contribute to decision-making across the investment lifecycle, ensuring optimal deal structures, minimizing tax exposure, and seizing opportunities created by changing tax codes in the US and abroad. To do so effectively, I developed a personal and professional skillset necessary to lead a tenured tax team and communicate complex tax matters in an easily understandable manner to a broad and diverse group of stakeholders, all while elevating the profile of the tax function across the Advent platform to one of a proactive and strategic partnership.
