The Medical Management Unit (MMU) carries a 12 patient census staffing 2-3 RNs per shift. Ideally patients stay 24-48 hours under observation. The unit also handles overflow inpatient admissions. Patient population is a wide range of diagnosis, including Cardiac rule out, Stroke rule out, and Pain control. Patients are monitored on telemetry.Identifies.
