GRAPHITE: Data Council is a select group of industry leaders in data science, impact evaluation, and technology committed to advising Pencils of Promise in all aspects of data analysis and transparency. PoP’s ability to effectively evaluate impact and communicate results to key stakeholders remains an integral part of our ability to provide children in the developing world with access to quality education.

Technical lead for the Evaluation and Adaptive Learning practice, which involved creating research designs, advising in data analysis plans, and presenting our approach to external audiences. Additional responsibilities included new business development, assistance in team strategy implementation, and liaising with external partners. Project portfolio included: - USAID Rapid Feedback Monitoring Evaluation Research and Learning- Partnership Schools for Liberia- Pearson Project Literacy

Examined the effect of all-terrain wheelchairs on mobility and perceived quality of life among users in Laos. This project measured, both quantitatively and qualitatively, how specialized all-terrain wheelchairs impacted the lives of people in less resourced areas. Directly responsible for all phases of this project, from start to close, which included: - Grant writing and financial management- Project coordination and implementation - Data collection and analysis- Personnel management and stakeholder engagement- Presentation of outcomes in domestic and foreign contextsOutcomes from this work have fundamentally changed wheelchair service delivery in Laos, where more than twice as many patients are receiving high quality products that meet their specific everyday needs as a direct result of the project.

Individually led supplementary courses for both undergraduate and graduate students. Courses included motor learning, motor development, biomechanics (graduate level), and physical education.

Appointed to a committee of 10 graduate students who advised the Dean of the Graduate School on key issues across campus. Worked with the Assistant Dean to re-develop orientation events to highlight practical and useful resources available for new graduate students.

Advised and mentored Student Athletes to develop organization and time management skills, which aid in balancing the demands of both academics and athletics.

Provided assistance on various International Division projects funded by a diverse group of donors that focused on a broad range of public health issues. Responsibilities included, but were not limited to: - Coordinating procurements- Drafting consulting agreements - Conducting financial analyses- Assisting in the management of sub-grantee awards Experience in new business development included assisting technical writers and other members of the proposal team. Worked with leaders of the Capacity Development Center in the development of assessment tools that are inclusive and accessible to people with disabilities. Conducted a division-wide training hour on methods and approaches for incorporating disability programming into global health.

Worked with World Education Laos (WEL) to develop programs for UXO survivors, wheelchair users, and people with various disabilities. Developed a pilot study investigating the impact of all-terrain wheelchairs on those who lived in rural areas. Elements of the pilot study project included grant writing, budget development, and systems management. Conducted management trainings with local staff, created promotional material for various programs, and expanded the organization's disability portfolio to include work in the wheelchair sector.
