As a Software Training Specialist I deliver specific software training to LVHN colleagues and application-designated super users. Professional expert in the Professional Billing area of the Epic application training. I devise or modify curriculum delivery to solve complex computer navigation problems utilizing my knowledge of the Epic software. Duties include instructing, directing and/or checking the work of others as it relates to their area of specialization. I continuously seek to improve the implementation of existing and emerging methods of training delivery to replace or enhance existing training methods.

Responsible for the training of new hires and transfers. Managing an ever growing curriculum of educational information and staff resources. Assisting in daily operating functions of the network via help desk and email requests. Building and managing classes within our LMS for new staff and continuing education. Also responsible for process improvement by analyzing common problems and implementing new policies to improve network quality and efficiency.

Coordinates, prioritizes and makes critical decisions regarding patient flow activities throughout Lehigh Valley Health Network to prevent patient holds and emergency room diversions. Gathers accurate patient demographic and financial information when creating patient accounts. Control different bed assignments across multiple access points throughout the hospital. Worked with local coroners and Gift of Life representatives to coordinate the release of deceased patients from multiple LVHN facilities.

As an administrative Partner I facilitated communications among caregivers, patients and visitors. Performed all clerical/computer functions to support patient care delivery. Updated the unit’s information within the networks computer systems and kept track of incoming and outgoing patients. I was also responsible for recording several different types of quantitative data being tracked within our department.
